| To remove water after cleaning your clay you first have to let it sit for a day or two while the clay and sand settle and the water is clear at the top. Once you have a definite separation of water and clay, carefully siphon off or pour off the excess water from the top being careful not to disturb the clay bringing it back up into the water. Your best clay settles at the top of the sediment and you don't want to lose it. Next, scoop out from the bucket the clay that is left and either place it on plaster, concrete or any other porous material that will soak up the excess water or pour it into an old pillow case and hang the pillow case in a place where the excess water can drain out and away. |
